PRESS CRIMES

Despite its dubious constitutionality, the Press Law has been in force since 1967. The clear objective of the law is to prevent the use of the media to denigrate the image of third parties, thus having criminal provisions within its text.

The power exercised by the media must be used with caution, respecting the constitutional guarantee of the prohibition of censorship, as well as respecting the individual right to honor.

Our work defends the application of the Federal Constitution as well as the application of Law No. 5,250/67, guaranteeing the full defense, the contradictory and eventual right of reply.
